Mike Nash, Andrew Parkin and Stuart Smith took part in the 100km Ribble Valley Ride. The ride was raising funds for Rosemere Cancer Foundation, Dan’s Trust and the North West Air Ambulance. The course was set in the stunning Ribble Valley and Yorkshire Dales and was a very challenging course with 4000ft of climbing. The ride started in glorious sunshine and ended in monsoon like rain. Unfortunately Mike failed to finish after his bike conveniently suffered mechanical issues at the base of the first big climb when his frame snapped. I am sure this was down to the tremendous power he was developing and not the burger he ate the night before. He has vowed to come back and complete the course next year. Andrew and Stuart did complete the course in just over 4 hours.
